Every toy is cut from timber grown within an hour of the workshop.
Tasmanian oak
Straight grain, pale, hard enough to take a drop on tiles. Grown in managed forests, milled in Geeveston.
The cut
One piece per part. No glue joins, no dowels, nothing to work loose.
The sanding
Twice by hand, the second time with 320 grit. The edge a baby chews is the edge we test.
The finish
Water based paint, then beeswax and jojoba rubbed in warm. Food safe, and it smells like a beehive for a week.
